Sales Development representative

We are currently looking for an ambitious and driven Sales Development Representative to join our growing sales team and be the face of the company. We are looking for candidates who are a self-starter with a proven track record of success. Synchrogistics (“Synchro”) is an award-winning third-party logistics firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. With a growing national customer base, we are expanding our salesforce and looking for an entry-level sales development rep to train in logistics brokerage.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create successful cold calling and email campaigns targeting new prospects (80-100 calls/day).

  • Building your own book of business by learning the client’s business and becoming their subject matter expert and acting decisively when they need your help.

  • Provides support to carrier team as needed.

  • Assists in customer requests for quotes (RFQ).

  • Hunt new opportunities by calling leads from marketing activities including campaigns, events, webinars, referrals, and website inquiries.

  • Help to get your customers' freight moved from point A to point B.

  • Navigate social media and professional network websites for prospects.

  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage all lead activity and opportunity creation.

  • Build a pipeline of new opportunities for Synchro's sales teams by identifying new prospects, qualifying the lead, and converting the lead to opportunity status.

What We Need to See:

Carrier Account Manager

The Carrier Account Manager position is responsible for developing and expanding relationships between our motor carrier partners and Synchrogistics with the goal of establishing reliable core carriers.

LTL Manager

Synchrogistics is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented LTL Manager to manage our dynamic, fast-growing LTL department. The LTL Manager will be responsible for all aspects of delivering industry-best customer service to our clients. This position will lead and manage our customer service representatives, assist management in sourcing, vetting, onboarding and negotiating rates with carriers and develop strong carrier and customer relationships. The LTL Manager will monitor route performance across customer locations to ensure routes are being performed properly and achieving the customer’s efficiency goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage LTL operations at the day-to-day level using a proactive, hands-on approach.

  • Familiarize themselves with the business of our customers and seek to become their best source for transportation, support, and problem-solving.

  • Evaluate all transportation decisions to ensure that the customer is getting the best quality of service by providing updates and information prior to them requesting it.

  • Interface with LTL Carrier Sales & Pricing Staff.

  • Negotiate client specific LTL Pricing.

  • Collaborate with LTL Team to evaluate Client Shipment Data and identify savings opportunities.

  • Assist in LTL audit / resolution of invoice discrepancies.

  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, data tables preferred).

  • Experience with LTL audit preferred.

  • Familiarity with the Salesforce is ideal but not required.
